Taking place on Sunday April 22nd 2018, the London marathon is a London sporting institution.
Join the crowds of spectators watching this year’s runners pound the pavements!
Some run for personal achievement, some to raise money for their favourite charity, and many run in outrageous fancy dress: from a giant washing machine and a wild rhino, to crusades and bishops.
If you’re planning on showing your support for the thousands of runners, you might want to do so without heavy bags. Whether you just arrived in London and are carrying a cumbersome luggage, or simply have a bag too many and don’t want to ruin your fun with obsessively checking your belongings are still safe and sound, storing your luggage is a cheap and safe way of ensuring you can make the most of our day!
We have StashPoints all along the London Marathon route, simply choose the one better located to suit your plans for the day and get cheering hands free!

Best Viewing Points
-The Start: Greenwich
While most people prefer to show their support later on in the race, when runners are going to be more receptive to loud cheers and cheesy support signs, watching the marathon kick off is a feeling like no other. Moreover, you’ll also be spared having to wait around for hours, carefully looking at every runner to spot your friend, uncle, or acquaintance.
After all the runners are on their way, head to one of Greenwich many traditional pubs for an early pint or indulge in a well deserved brunch.
Greenwich TIC, located right along the London Marathon route, is the perfect spot to store your bags while you cheer from the Starting line.
-Tower Bridge: Mile 12-13
Runners in fancy dresses storming across Tower Bridge… Do we really need to add anything else? Be sure to head there early enough so you’ll bag the perfect spot.
Need to store your bags at Tower Bridge while you hold high up the cleverest support sign?
Head to Krystals Express, located right by the bridge and open 24/7. Prices at £6 a day, you won’t find a better deal.
-St James’ Park: the final stretch
By this point, the runners are more spread out and using every last ounce of strength they have left. Cheer for them as they cross the finishing line!
If you need to store your bags, we have two perfectly located luggage storage facilities around the park:
- Victoria Station Hotel, just a 5-minute walk from the Marathon route and open 24/7
- Internet City, perfectly located if you’re arriving at Charing Cross station and then heading to St James’ Park. Open 24/7.
